I am Iron Man. In the trailer, anyway.
Iron Man was an all right movie. I am a comic fan, and while my niches remain Spiderman and X men, I do know enough stuff about Iron Man to enjoy the movie through a fan's eyes. Recently Onion did a bit on Iron Man, saying that a movie studio was going to make a movie based on the Iron Man commercial (http://www.hulu.com/watch/17168/onion-news-network-wildly-popular-iron-m...). That reminded me that in the trailer, there is a distinct part where Tony Stark proclaims, "I am Iron Man!" My brother and I sat through the whole movie waiting for the line so we could cheer. But no cigar. The movie ended, the credits rolled and still he did not say, "I am Iron Man." That was disappointing.
Oh, before going to the movie I had mentally reviewed the Iron Man back story. Unfortunately for some reason I thought Iron Man's name was Tony Spark (its STARK, for those ignorant of the Marvelverse). At the theater while in line, I thought about quizzing people in line about the Iron Man back story, including asking, "Who is Iron Man?" (As an answer to this I would have accepted, Tony, Tony Spark, Mr. Spark, or even a spirited "I am Iron Man!"). Luckily I didn't, otherwise some people might have left that day extremely confused.
