So You Clicked On My Link
This is an experiment. I posted a twitter entry (http://twitter.com/diwant/status/1058501713) and I am using it to see if more people will click on a link if it is via a url shortener like tinyurl.com. In all honesty it is a poorly conducted experiment since I have no control to compare it to. Still, I hope to count the spike in traffic on this page via my Twitter entry. That number will tell me if you tweet readers like to click through on urls that don't clue you in on the actual content.
It will also tell me the age of your dog. Maaaagic!

I thought the link would be
I thought the link would be to an article about a study of click-through rates for URL shorteners on Twitter, so it is kind of hard to know why a person clicked the link. If you do this experiment with different statements, like "Today I had a big breakfast [link]" or "I can't believe it's not butter! [link]", or "This economy has me worried. [link]", you would probably see higher click-through on some versus others.
But do let us know about the spike in traffic. And my non-existent dog's age. B-)
