I am live blogging the filmfares here. Sure, I am watching it an hour delayed on my DVR, but it is very close to live blogging. I will just keep updating this entry. Comment on this post if you are watching and want to pitch in as well.

**Spoiler alert** I actually talk about the winners, so don't read unless you know or don't care about who won.

So far, Karan Johar has opened it ok. I liked the jokes about "Dostana" being present in all hindi movies. Hosts are Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor. Pretty lame jokes, but they are getting better.

"Drona se Dostana kar ke Dhoom Machadiya". Bleaugh! Kapoor sucks at comedy. If you are reading this, first WOWWYOUREREADINGMYBLOG!, and second, you need to work on your dialog delivery. Your timing and expressions are all wrong. I get ticked off before you deliver your punch line.

Wish they showed nominations like they do in Oscars. Does Saif Ali Khan look like Tony Stark?

Back from pizza. Now they are doing nominations. All right! P.S.- I love Deepika Padukone. P.P.S- I also love Priyanka Chopra. P.P.P.S-Also love Madhuri Dixit. The list goes on.

Haha, the debutant female nominees have the fakest smile after losing.

Farhan Akhtar has a weird voice. Can they do that? Can they tie for an award? It kind of makes me think that this was a pity win for one of them, although both of their debuts were great. I am partial to Imran because of Aamir, but I like Farhan because I like rock'n roll.

Shahid Kapoor is a good dancer.

What the hell was that thing with Jackie Noname? I am going to boycott that guy for fucking with the Filmfares. Why does he look like Uday Chopra?

I don't like that Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na media is missing. I think they forgot to buy the rights to the movie. Still, I wonder if only showing a bit of the movie would be covered under Fair Use. Lol at "Daddy ka category"!

You will find more, many many more on Youtube. Producers and Directors be wary that people don't like Pritam because he has stolen songs. If you use his music, you condone his stealing. Then you have no moral grounds to ask your audience to not pirate your movie.

Haha, "My Mic, my mic, my mic" like that Pepsi ad. I knew it! Johar is gay! Not that there is anything wrong with that.

I don't know a lot of these corporate old dudes. Is there a point to let them give out the awards? I guess Filmfare gets to spread out meaningless laurels in house.

I thought Kangana Ranaut would win. But what is that accent she has? It sounds like pidgin Hindi, English, French, and Arabic.

Arjun Rampal won. Yes! Rock on, man! For those wondering if Arjun Rampal can play the guitar, yes he can. I was looking at his fingering on the neck when he was playing at the Rock On charity concert and his fingers were correct. Respect, dude. (Rereading this, "fingering on the neck" sounds really dirty)

Did I mention I love Deepika Padukone?

The Rab Ne Bana Di and Ghajini look alike thing was awesome! I was laughing out loud for that bit. "Ay, ganji! Stage idhar hai! Photo kheech!" Haha!

The guy from Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na seemed too desperate or really doped. Why does Om Puri get lifetime acheivement? He has still so much to do. I really hope he keeps working, I like his movies.

Yes, SRK does look like a waiter. Not that there is anything wrong with that. SRK wanted to talk more about Slumdog Millionaire. Good of him, I think the show people had asked him to say something, anything, on stage. He pushed the limelight from himself to the Slumdog cast. Shah Rukh was very polished in his speech. Nice segment.

Of course Rekha wins the blush award. No one will contest it. She took it well.

Best actor female will go to Priyanka Chopra for Fashion. Am I right? Am I right?

Yeeessss! Vivek, sala! Tu ne Priyanka ko meri bhabhi bana di!

Shahid Kapoor is red. Why is he red? He is freaking RED!

Best actor to Hrithik, methinks. But Naseeruddin Shah is there too. Hmm, difficult. But, Hrithink won it. I called it.

Deepika looks really scared almost all of the time.

Ashutosh Gowarikar for Jodhaa Akbar, but I knew that before. How did the results leak before the show aired?

Best film should have been given to Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. Why was Ghajini even nominated? Even Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi I would consider a pop corn flick. The type of movie nominated for best movie in Filmfare is very different to the Oscar nominees. Jodha Akbar and Jaane Tu were good nominees, and eventually Jodhaa Akbar won.
