5 Hour Energy for 2:30. Is This How Medicated We Are?

Hulu shows an ad by 5 hour energy where a guy complains about the tired feeling some people get at 2:30pm at work (i.e. just after lunch). The solution to this grogginess is to take a pill of 5 hour energy. Every day. Every time you feel groggy.

Here while I am fighting a cold with hot chicken soup, warm water, and good rest, I see this ad and I wonder if people really turn to medication to solve everything. Call me a traditionalist, but this is a bit much. If you feel tired at 2:30pm, try a quick walk up and down some stairs. Try changing focus to some other work you have to do. Try a four day work week so you stay excited. Would you really immediately resort to a medicinal pill?

It's vitamins B3, B6, B9 & B12 with some caffeine, and it is a drink - not a pill (There isn't even any sugar in it); I would hardly call this medicinal - it's a vitamin supplement. Besides that, switching to a 4 day work week isn't usually up to most people, It's up to their companies.

Companies do control the work week length, but I still think taking a pill for anything is not a good idea. Those who know me know I am quite anti-medicine. Besides, I had a friend take that pill and he said it had him absolutely sprung. On the one hand, it means the pill works but he also felt he was too energetic, too wired.
